The Centre has also a finalist for Best Green Initiative and Best Venue Team - Exhibitions, in the Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia Awards (EEAA)to be announced in December. Centre Chief Executive Ton van Amerongen spoke of her pride in the venue’s achievements.

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre earned the title of Australasia’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre in the World Travel Awards for five consecutive years. The awards were announced at the World Travel Awards ceremony for Asia & Australasia, held in India last October. And were voted by industry travel professionals.
Other World Travel Awards Sydney venues took out this year include Australia's Leading Boutique by HotelBlue Sydney (www.tajhotels.com) For the second year Bondi Beach took out the Australasia's Leading Beach Award. Star City Hotel & Casino scored the Australasia's Leading Casino Resort. The Westin Sydney was awarded the leading business hotel for the second year in a row.
